Ephraim Cohen, founder and Head of Media Strategy and Industry Communications
 
Ephraim Cohen is the founder of and managing partner of The Fortex Group where he designs and implements public relations, custom media and industry community programs for clients in the digital media, consumer electronics and enterprise technology industries.  Prior to founding The Fortex Group, Ephraim was EVP and GM at Edelman, one of the world's largest public relations firms, where he helped lead the global technology practice and managed global accounts from Edelman’s headquarters in New York.    Ephraim has managed a number of major global clients including Accenture, Analog Devices, Alcatel Space, Dailymotion, Global Crossing, MXP4, Samsung, Wipro, WPP’s Kantar Video as well as economic development programs for the governments of the United Kingdom and Canada.   Ephraim began his career at Business Week, the world’s leading global business news weeklies, as an assistant editor in the executive programs division. Ephraim later became the managing director of the International Anti-Counterfeiting Coalition (IACC), where he worked on trade policy and served as manager of the Digital Future Coalition, an organization focused on global copyright policy.  Mr. Cohen holds a Master of Public Policy in International Political Economy from Georgetown University's Public Policy Institute and Bachelor’s in political science and dramatic literature from New York University.

Glenn Wiener, Head of Financial, Corporate and Investor Relations

Glenn Wiener serves as headof corporate and financial communications. Having spent his entire career in corporate communications, Mr. Wiener has serviced both public and private companies, managing corporate, media and financial relations programs. He specializes in corporate relations focused on brand management and has extensive experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, initial public offerings, product PR and executive/board management. He has worked on global accounts focused on cross-border communications and has a successful track record of integrating various marketing disciplines focused on increasing and measuring brand reputation.

Colette Ballou, President of Europe
 
Colette has over 16 years of public relations experience in both agency and corporate environments including digital entertainment and media, telecommunications and services. In addition, Colette has specific expertise counseling European venture capital firms, global media organizations, and biotechnology companies.  Colette is an active part of the European start-up community:  she is a speaker and moderator at industry events including Techcrunch, Microsoft/General Electric Software Academy and the Plugg conference in Brussels.  Colette is also a mentor and judge for start-up organizations ranging from Seedcamp and the GuideWire Group’s Innovate! Europe conference to the Sun Start-Up Academy.   Before establishing Ballou Public Relations, Colette was a vice president at Edelman Public Relations Worldwide’s Enterprise Software and Service group in both the San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices, where she developed public relations strategies and led teams in the execution of domestic and international public relations programs.
